Birth Pools

For those families choosing a home water birth or who would like to labour at home as long as possible we offer the option to rent an Aquadoula birthing pool or an Aquaborn inflatable birthing pool.

Rent the Aquadoula for $300.00 for up to 45 days. Book early to get your pool.

Special Offer: Rent the Aquadoula and TENS unit for $350.00

Rent the Aquaborn Inflatable pool for $200.00 for up to 45 days. Book early to get your pool.

Special Offer: Rent the Aquaborn and TENS unit for $250.00

 

TENS Rentals

Also available to rent from Birthing Buddies is the Body Clock Birthing Tens. Birthing women in the UK and Europe have been successfully using the Birthing TENS for over 20 years to help them cope during labour and with postpartum discomfort.

Rental is $90.00 in BC and $100.00 for the rest of Canada for 40 days. May be covered by your extended health plan.

Private Prenatal Classes

Group Prenatal Classes now available in Squamish, BC!

Another special service offered by Birthing Buddies is the private in home prenatal class. The Birthing Buddies prenatal class will provide you with the necessary information you need to prepare you for your birth experience while focusing on using relaxation and other tools to prepare you, your partner and your body for the natural, normal birthing process.

Cost of class is $300.00 (a $30.00 travel fee is applied to areas outside of the North Shore, Vancouver and Burnaby) which includes the use of a Labour Support Pack containing a birthing ball and pump, TENS unit, a relaxation CD, Birthing from Within’s Pain Coping CD for Parents, a hot pack, a copy of The Birth Partner, the 3 Rs DVD and Dr Jack Newman’s breastfeeding DVD. The LSP is returned to Birthing Buddies at postnatal visit. Breastfeeding support is also included with the LSP.
